COLOR: Adding this cream rug (5’x8′ on sale for $125 HERE) and coffee table really brought the space together. Also, painting the floor lamp white made the space seem less busy. This lamp had a beautiful brass finish, but I realized a little brass goes a long way, and the beige white color is more cohesive.

I’m surprised at how much adding the cream rug and tiered table and removing some of the gold made this small space seem cozy but not overstuffed.
