I had fun snapping these pictures with my Mom before we went out to eat for the gazillionth time 😉 and wanted to share this retro look with some ideas on where to find classic pieces for your summer wardrobe staples. Summer Staples ~ Retro Style

The only two pieces you need for an effortless retro summer outfit are a pair of high-waisted flat front pants and a romantic white top with puffed sleeves.

This top is by a favorite LA-based designer Staud. Despite being cotton it packed really well and easily elevates any look.

These pants remind me Marilyn Monroe. But of course, in these pics, I’m literally bursting at the seams from eating 3 french desserts a day. But I digress… These pants are from Target by Who What Wear. Such a great find but they’re almost sold out. I also love these black and white gingham pants.

PACKING GOALS 

I had packing goals for this trip. My main goal was to not overpack. Sticking to a color scheme really helped me to not need to pack as many accessories. I love this simple tip for packing.

Retro style–loving the return to the classics. 2019’s summer style edit features a high-waisted flat front “stretchy” Capri pants in a classic gingham check pattern with a simple romantic white puffed sleeve top.

Back from Europe and I don’t know where to begin with what to share. So I wanted to get started with this fun little outfit idea. These pictures were taken from the balcony of our last hotel room in the French Riviera. We stayed at the lovely Château de la Chèvre d’or.
