Just grab a blazer and your favorite tee and have fun styling it with jeans. This is hardly a new idea but probably my favorite casual combination because it’s so easy to pull off. I love mixing casual pieces with structured ones. Like this tee shirt and old Levis with the structured yet stretchy blazer.

heard recently that fashion is what you buy and style is how you wear it. As a fashion addict I get sucked into the trends. I absolutely love the hanging sweater dress on other people. I just can’t pull it off. My personal style needs to be in alignment with my body type if I want to accentuate my assets.
Whats your body type? If you are not sure or need a refresher, here’s a great article from Real Simple. I am a 5’5″ hourglass. If I don’t show my waistline I look like a 4 foot ballon. It’s energizing to realize that once we understand our body type we can utilize the current trends and create a figure flattering look.
What is the easiest way to look put together? Go monochromatic. It’s hard to mess it up. Go in your closet and grab a bunch of separates from the same color family and see what happens. I believe it holds true that monochromatic is a no brainer. The look is almost always going to work. I would have liked a bit more edge to this look with distressed denim, but we were going to a holiday gathering so this was my grab and go.
