Happy Spring! The home decorating tour continues. Today I just want to share my naked tablescape. In particular, this white carnation flower bowl centerpiece. It makes me smile all year round and it also feels very spring-like! The finish resembles a pearl and reflects light beautifully.
To feel comfortable and confident. That’s my goal. Spring is a time to be reborn and refreshed. This goes for the personal style as well. It’s an inside out job. Reinventing ourselves with our style choices can be thrilling. My top three updates in this look are a comfortable spiffy jumpsuit, a large neutral clutch, and a skinny scarf.
Velvet is here to stay. When I purchased this beautiful blue velvet blazer in the fall I never imagined I would be able to wear it into the spring. Creating a long white line and by wearing white jeans and a teeshirt plus a scarf ties this look together. I love the velvet texture contrasting with the simple white denim and blue suede booties. What is the easiest way to look put together? Go monochromatic. It’s hard to mess it up. Go in your closet and grab a bunch of separates from the same color family and see what happens. I believe it holds true that monochromatic is a no brainer. The look is almost always going to work. I would have liked a bit more edge to this look with distressed denim, but we were going to a holiday gathering so this was my grab and go.
